I find myself loaded with work throughout this intense year. Therefore I have neglected the posting. But nonetheless, here I am in Argentina on an International Study Week. My observations of the country thus far:
– the country seems to be on the brink of ‘could be good’ or ‘could go all wrong’ – I like that, it has a frontier feel to it.
– the city of Buenos Aires looks a lot like any European city with strong American influences – it could be a much larger version of Bratislava even.
– the people are friendly, warm and welcoming – one might even say they are ‘western hemisphere’ since it seems the eastern hemisphere is nice but holds something back.
All in all this is a great experience and I’ll be popping over to Uruguay for a day next week . . . another passport stamp, you can’t go wrong.
